  • ·This Privacy Policy describes how Code Kid AI collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes your Personal Information in connection with your use of our website and Services. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is subject to and to be read in conjunction with Code Kid AI's Terms of Service.
  • ·Code Kid AI in this policy is referred to as "Code Kid AI", "we" or "us". We are committed to your privacy and maintaining your trust by protecting your Personal Information.

Personal identifiable information

  • ·Personal Information refers to any information that can identify, contact or locate the person who such information relates to. The collection and use of your Personal Information by us is subject to this Privacy Policy, which may be amended from time to time.
  • ·Code Kid AI collects two types of data:
  • ·(1) customer registration, funding and payment data necessary for account creation, course registration and participation in Code Kid AI Services and programs, and payment processing;
  • ·(2) course-related materials, student work, communications and material you submit or provide to us, including assignments, questions, and dialogue with us about courses and instruction and any Code Kid AI Service in which you participate.
  • ·When you register for Code Kid AI, we may request personal data such as your name, company name, email address, billing address, credit card information and potentially demographic information. We also collect email addresses from individuals who contact us directly. Additionally, we gather information about which pages are accessed on our website, as well as data provided to us by site visitors, prospective clients, and subscribers and students who register with us and participate in our Services and programs.
  • ·As part of our customer relationship management, we may collect and store information about you as part of the sales, marketing, enrolment, admissions, Service and program delivery, and customer relationship process. We may record phone calls with you for sales, marketing, customer support, quality assurance, training, supervision, and the improvement of business processes. This information may include personal data about prospective and active customers such as addresses, phone numbers, credit card information, social security numbers, copies of government-issued IDs, personal and demographic information you provide to us, and employment search information. We also host and process Personal Information you submit to us via our learning platforms such as Synapse.
  • ·The information we collect is used for the following purposes: to provide and support products and services including course instruction and participation, billing, identification, authentication, security, product and service enhancement, contact, research, student evaluation, attendance tracking, career support services, and follow-up sales and marketing. If you apply for or receive third party funding (e.g., from employers, government entities, private organizations, or similar third-party sources), we may receive and share personal information with these parties to administer and manage the funding and your participation in their supported programs. Where Services are regulated, we may disclose personal information to regulatory authorities or government agencies pursuant to their legal authority to obtain or receive or require such Personal Information from us including as part of routine reporting obligations and licensing requirements applicable in some jurisdictions to some Code Kid AI Services.

Disclosure

  • ·We will not disclose or share Personal Information without your written or implied consent and permission unless compelled by a legal reason, to protect the safety of any individual, or to assist an investigation by law enforcement or a legal authority or as further described below. We do not share, sell, or rent the Personal Information we receive with others except in limited circumstances where your use of Code Kid AI indicates a valid consent to disclose. For example:
  • ·Code Kid AI may disclose personal information to investigate, prevent, or take action about actual or suspected illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations that may involve potential threats to the physical safety of someone, violations of Code Kid AI's terms and conditions, or as otherwise required by law.
  • ·Code Kid AI employs other third-party companies, partners and suppliers (including contract instructors and hiring partners) to perform tasks on our behalf or for recruiting, hiring and job placement purposes and we may need to share your information with them to provide products and services to you, or for hiring and job placement purposes, in which case we do so under conditions of confidentiality and only to the extent necessary for the purpose at hand.
  • ·As described above, Code Kid AI may share your Personal Information with a third party funding source as reasonably required to support and administer your participation in a third party funding program.
  • ·Code Kid AI may also share your Personal Information to provide products or services you have requested or when we have your permission, such as when you use the Code Kid AI Services to log into a third-party web site.
  • ·We will transfer Personal Information about you if Code Kid AI is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Code Kid AI will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the Code Kid AI web site before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • ·We may also disclose Personal Information if we are required to undergo a law enforcement investigation or in response to a subpoena or some other form of legal compulsion, in which case we will try to limit disclosure while complying with our legal obligations.
  • ·Code Kid AI may disclose Personal Information under special circumstances, such as to comply with court orders requiring us to do so or to others when your actions violate the Terms of Service applicable to Code Kid AI and we need to take steps to enforce our Terms of Service and policies. We do not sell, rent, loan or otherwise transfer Personal Information to other companies for the marketing of their own products or services unless you provide your consent to that.

Specific jurisdictions

  • ·When personal data protection and privacy laws mandate a different standard of protection for Personal Data than what is outlined in this Privacy Policy, those jurisdiction-specific legal requirements will take precedence. In the event of a conflict between the Privacy Policy and any specific provisions outlined under the applicable "Specific Jurisdictions" section below, the provisions in that section will apply.

Canada

  • ·Where applicable, Code Kid AI will comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) of 2000. To protect the personal information of Canadian consumers, Code Kid AI will consider PIPEDA's 10 fair information principles in its practices.

Security

  • ·The security of your Personal Information and data that you store on our Service is important to us. We follow industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage method is completely secure.
  • ·Code Kid AI does not process payments directly. Code Kid AI uses third-party payment processors that comply with PCI-DSS standards.

Client data storage

  • ·Code Kid AI uses third-party data storage services that use industry-standard security to store Personal Information. Code Kid AI does not claim ownership of your data except as provided in the Terms of Service.

Cookies

  • ·Cookies may be used to store session data. You may disable cookies through your browser settings.

Google analytics and remarketing

  • ·We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to analyze website usage and serve relevant advertisements. These tools are controlled by third parties such as Google.

Opting out, managing your personal information

  • ·You can access and control your customer registration and encrypted personal data directly in your Code Kid AI account. You may opt out of personalized ads using Google's Ads Preferences Manager or Analytics Opt-out tools.

Changes to this privacy policy

  • ·Code Kid AI reserves the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of our Services confirms acceptance of any updates.
